Les enchères dynamiques de grands vins

Les wine o’clock sont des ventes aux enchères dynamiques organisées chaque 2e mardi du mois sur notre plateforme en ligne. Chaque catalogue est minutieusement préparé en amont et propose une sélection variée de flacons provenant de caves de particuliers et de professionnels du monde entier.

Chaque mois, nous recevons en consignation des vins rares et recherchés, issus de domaines emblématiques ou de producteurs plus confidentiels, tous acquis et conservés avec passion par des amateurs éclairés. Une fois les lots consignés, nous constituons un catalogue digital dans lequel chaque flacon est mis en valeur par une photographie professionnelle de haute qualité. Ces visuels permettent une présentation transparente de l’état des capsules, des étiquettes, des niveaux, ainsi que de la robe du vin. Chaque lot est accompagné d’une description détaillée et d’un commentaire d’inspection, afin de vous offrir toutes les informations nécessaires à une prise de décision éclairée.
Dès la mise en ligne du catalogue, soit deux semaines avant la vente, vous pouvez vous inscrire, parcourir les lots et déposer vos enchères écrites. Cette première étape amorce la compétition – mais rien n’est encore joué ! Le jour de la vente, à 14h précises, les enchères s’ouvrent en direct. Chaque lot devient alors l’enjeu d’une bataille rythmée : 12 secondes seulement pour surenchérir, selon les offres écrites déjà enregistrées.

The wine o’clock is a dynamic auction held every 2nd Tuesday of the month on our online platform. Each catalogue is carefully prepared in advance and offers a varied selection of bottles from cellars of private individuals and professionals around the world.

Every month, we receive in consignment rare and sought-after wines from emblematic estates or more confidential producers, all acquired and preserved with passion by enlightened amateurs. Once the lots have been consigned, we create a digital catalogue in which each bottle is highlighted by high quality professional photography. These visuals allow a transparent presentation of the state of the capsules, labels, levels, as well as the robe of the wine. Each batch is accompanied by a detailed description and inspection comment, to provide you with all the information necessary for an informed decision. As soon as the catalogue is online, two weeks before the auction, you can register, browse the lots and submit your written bids. This first stage starts the competition – but nothing is yet played! On the day of the auction, at 2pm sharp, the auction opens live. Each lot then becomes the stake of a rhythmic battle: only 12 seconds to outbid, according to the written offers already registered. There is a word which has the effect of a time capsule on me : Chartreuse. Like a detonator, the word triggers a panorama of immutable images and sensations from my childhood : that of my maternal grandfather's liquor cabinet where his Chartreuse liqueurs held a privileged place, the sugar soaked in elixir that our grandmother gave us during the countless (tortuous) journeys made as a child between the Loire Valley and our house in the Alps, the black and white photo of my maternal great-uncle Dom Louis-Paul Rousseau on his way to exile, at the time deputy prosecutor of the Grande Chartreuse and who lived in the monastery until his manu militari  expulsion in 1903, the smells of camphor and dried plants in the pharmacy where my dear mother worked all her career, the génépi liqueur that we used to make in the summer with my sisters under the 'alchemist' instructions of our grandfather.

In short, this liqueur has a very special place in my heart : I even owe to it  my inclination, at the age of twenty, towards the wider world of "wines and spirits". And over the years, in the pursuit of this passion, which I have developed into a profession that brings me into contact with a good number of spirits lovers, I have come to realise that virtually every one of them has a very personal relationship with Chartreuse liqueur. "It is not something you come to by chance" : the immortal and spiritual liqueur weaves a link with each and every one of us that intertwines spirituality, history, savoir-faire & tradition, mysticism, but also handing on, epicureanism, the  values of sharing and of contemporaneity.

"Once upon a time... Chartreuse" is also the story of a time-honoured passion that gradually turns into a collection. When the fervently passionate amateur starts seeking each bottle (in multiples), the rare bottles known as "unobtainable", when he becomes a treasure hunter capable of travelling hundreds of kilometres to examine and acquire these historic liqueurs, the rare posters, the  unusual or sometimes even unpublished advertising objects.

"Once upon a time... Chartreuse" is THE perfect collection, bringing together more than a thousand bottles and hundreds of items that have been patiently hunted down, researched, located, exchanged, negotiated and acquired. As complete as it is extensive, this French private collection, which will be on offer in Geneva on 4, 5 and 6 March, is THE most beautiful collection of Chartreuse ever to be offered on the market, and it bears the mark of passion and of sharing, that irreplaceable guarantee which attests to a gesture of love, to bring together the best of the best to make a unique whole.

“Silence, contemplation and solitude”

By settling in the wilderness of Chartreuse near Grenoble, the Carthusian monks were not only looking for the ideal setting that would meet the requirements of their calling for “solitude and peace in rusticity and far from the world”, but also the means to support themselves. In an environment conducive to the picking of herbs, a medicinal elixir was developed by the apothecary brothers employed at the pharmacy of the Grande Chartreuse, according to a recipe recorded in an ancient manuscript. This elixir thus opened the way to the production on a larger scale of green, then yellow liqueur, and to the fascinating history of Chartreuse Liqueurs produced in France and Spain.

The success of the Liqueur unquestionably lies as much in its secular history as in the quality of the supply of its 130 plants, the mastery of distillation and the savoir faire in the of ageing these noble nectars. Knowledge and know-how.
