Arthur Leclerc, born in Geneva, comes from a family of restaurateurs who passed on the taste for cooking and sharing gourmet cuisine. An insatiable epicurean, Arthur is fascinated with all things food and trained in the kitchens of a gastronomic restaurant.

A rare opportunity

Our second "Wine o'clock" online auction in Singapore represents for me a perfect allegory of Oscar Wilde's quote: “I have the simplest tastes; I am always satisfied with the best.

Indeed, this online auction in Singapore features the world's most famous Domaines and Châteaux.

Let's start with the Bordeaux region, which includes Château Margaux, Lafite-Rothschild, Mouton-Rothschild, Lafleur, and Haut-Brion.

“I have the simplest tastes; I am always satisfied with the best.”

Then, we move on to Burgundy with Domaines such as Romanée-Conti, Leroy, Prieuré-Roch, Jean-Yves Bizot, Arnoux Lachaux, Georges Roumier, Armand Rousseau, and Hubert Lamy.

I almost forgot to mention a few marvels, like this magnificent magnum of Champagne Salon 1997 (lot 1) or this bottle of Masseto 1989 (lot 56) in a museum-like state of preservation.

A digression is necessary in this text to address lots 43 and 46 in this auction. These lots consist of  9 bottles of Domaine Leroy 1989 (lot 43)…

… and of 6 bottles of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti 1994 (lot 46).

I must say that the wines displayed astonishing elegance and youthfulness…

A few months ago, we had the immense pleasure, alongside Francesco Lee (Asia Director), of visiting the vibrant Kuala Lumpur to meet the former importer of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in the 80’s-90’s and a passionate collector who wanted to meet us to potentially offer some lots together. The exceptional aspect of these two lots is to be explained by their provenance and storage. We visited the cellar of the former importer of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and inspected the bottles that had never left that cellar since their importation to Malaysia. Their storage conditions are impeccable. We were fortunate to taste two bottles from the 1989 vintage from this collection, and I must say that the wines displayed astonishing elegance and youthfulness.

Therefore, this second Singapore "Wine o'clock" auction presents a rare opportunity to bid and perhaps acquire these wines with such exceptional qualities of storage and provenance.

It is always an honor for us to earn the trust of collectors who decide to share a part of their collection.

Below, please discover a selection of other highlights of the auction.

Enjoy your bids!

Lot 5 — We offer, in its original wooden case and in perfect condition, a very rare jeroboam (500cl) of Château Mouton-Rothschild vintage 2000. This bottle size was produced in only 5,000 copies.

The auction proposes a substantial quantity of wines from Domaine Armand Rousseau (25 bottles) from 2002 to 2014 and Domaine G. Roumier (26 bottles) 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Please note

All the original Bordeaux wooden cases of the great Bordeaux Châteaux were acquired "En Primeur".

All the wines come directly from collectors who purchase through importers.

For buyers who wish to have their orders delivered to Singapore or Hong Kong, the delivery is free. For European customers, we now organize monthly group shipments to the Geneva FreePorts at a cost of 12 CHF per bottle (excluding insurance – 0.38% of the total value).
